Outdoor Rustic Wedding Tablescape Inspirations
Beach, garden and winter wonderland weddings are some of the biggest trends when it comes to wedding locations this year. If you haven't noticed, there's one ongoing element with these wedding locations: these types of weddings are mostly done outdoors!
We can't remember the last time someone turned down the idea of having an outdoor wedding. Once you find the perfect place to say your vows, and the gorgeous opening space where everyone can dance during the reception, it's very easy to create your wedding theme from there!
We featured an outdoor tablescape design for wedding cakes in our previous blog post and we are most definitely not done with sharing our ideas for an outdoor wedding yet!
The tablescape design we featured in our previous blog leans more on the dreamy, wonderland theme. For today's blog, we're focusing on one specific goal: rustic elegance.
Pretty White Silk Table Runners On a Dark and Rustic Wood Table
Rustic-themed weddings are also the craze this year. There is so much beauty in the simplicity of rustic weddings. As we've said, our featured tablescape design wants to focus on laid back elegance. And that's very easy to achieve with outdoor rustic weddings.
You can take your inspirations from the venue itself. We decided to use white table runners for today's featured tablescape because it goes perfectly with the dark color of our vintage table.
The juxtaposition of white and dark brown tends to go very well with rustic outdoor weddings. We also don't want to shy away from the table's vintage design so instead of table linens, we went for flowy dreamy white table runners.
We also decided to add a splash of color to the table by including a set of peach candles in different sizes. The light peach color of the candles compliment the dark surface of our vintage table.
For the added elegance, you can include an open wooden frame that boxes in the table. This is the flair you're looking for if you want something extra in your tablescape design. Notice how the wood columns have the same dark color as the table? It completes the whole design!
Floral Table Centerpiece Ideas for Outdoor Wedding Tablescapes
Since it's an outdoor landscape design, you can include natural elements in the details. We went for a floral centerpiece with white flowers because we want a hushed and pure color palette for this tablescape.
The white table runners paired with white flowers with just a small splash of peach (similar to the candles) create a peaceful and dreamy setting for weddings. Aside from a white floral centerpiece, you can also go for hushed tones of periwinkle blue and light lavender (just remember to create a color palette that compliments the whole tablescape design).
Aside from flowers, did you notice the green leaves wrapped all over the wood foundations? It makes the tablescape design more in touch with nature which is a great thing for outdoor rustic weddings!
Vintage Elements and Gauze Napkins for 2019 Weddings
To complete the rustic theme of this tablescape design, use vintage flatware, glassware, and silverware! There are many weddings stores that let you rent a set of vintage everything so you don't need to worry about where to get it. We are extra in love with the vintage silverware, by the way!
Tie the whole look together with gauze table napkins. We're going for laid back elegance when it comes to rustic outdoor weddings and gauze table napkins look natural and organic like the rest of the elements in our tablescape design for today's blog post.
Also, we totally think clear and transparent chairs are genius. They are game-changers in the wedding scene. Forget plastic chairs covered with plain white cloths tied with a lame ribbon.
Our tablescape design has many highlights but they do not overshadow the other elements. The one thing to always go for is balance. Every single detail of a tablescape design should always compliment one another so everything has a chance to shine.
Our photos for today's post are taken in the daylight but we're sure you can just imagine how perfect the design would still be in the moonlight. It's going to be such a romantic evening with everyone having a candlelit dinner under the stars.
xoxo,
Jeanette
