Eloping into the Sunset: Dreamy Flatlay Inspo Perfect for Minimalistic Microweddings
Weddings don’t need to be grand celebrations filled with people you barely know. If we’re going back to its roots, weddings are simply where we mark a new chapter of our life - with family and friends.
Today’s inspo focuses on an intimate microwedding setting with romantic and minimalistic elements. This is perfect for people who are planning a small event surrounded with close loved ones, and even couples who are planning to elope into the sunset to say their vows.
All the Small Things: Making Wedding Details Look Dynamic on Flatlays
Wedding flatlays are the hidden gems on wedding inspos. This might not be as important as the bridal gown and bouquet, but wedding flatlays tie the whole wedding concept together so you should definitely not overlook this small but important detail.
For today’s blog, we’re keeping it simple and romantic. This wedding flatlay inspo relies on the minimalistic element of white, combined with an old rose palette for that added dreamy look. We’re going for a vintage and classy flatlay so the wedding invitations and paperwork also feature slightly burnt edges.
Aside from the flatlay’s color palette and paper detail, you should also pay attention to the final layout of your invitations and wedding notes. This wedding flatlay inspo perfectly uses a soft, vintage style so we wanted to include romantic cursives in our invitations! Add a little bit of flair and throw in some dried flowers in the flatlay as well! We absolutely love these handpainted sketches of flowers on white paper too.
Of course, who would forget the bridal elements on a flatlay inspo? Since we used soft pinks and white tones in the flatlay, make it pop by using darker colors in the details that you want to highlight and show off. For instance, this wedding ring looks so ethereal as we lay it out on a rustic ring box made of dark wood!
You can also use this simple and romantic flatlay inspo with the bride’s shoes and other accessories as well! We used floral designs with the papers and invitations, why not grab some organic silk ribbons and use them for the accessories on a flatlay?
Dining with Family and Friends
Microweddings are perfect for engaged couples who just want to celebrate with their close love ones. We’re keeping with the simplistic design of this inspo, so we’re also using a lot of white tones in our tablescape!
We kept the rustic tone by including some fold up wooden chairs for today’s tablescape. Those gold accents paired with white flatware and table linens look like we’re dining in Olympus, don’t you think?
This is the perfect reminder that weddings don’t need to have hundreds of guests, nor should it be a big and loud one if you don’t want it to be. As we always say, weddings are a celebration of love and trust as you say your vows to the love of your life, surrounded by friends and family.
Xoxo,
Jeanette
