How to Become Pretty Nymphs for a Mommy and Me House Event

Creating a playful atmosphere does not just involve solid and popping colors. We know how stressful planning even a mini-event can be, so why not go for something casual and serene for this mommy-and-me time?

Besides, we wanted to go for a nymph-like mood for you and your kids. Grab some flowy dresses and shirts and go barefoot! One of the key things we’re currently going for are inpos that can be done in the comforts of your own home.

Aside from different shades of white, you can also use pale pinks and a pop of sky blue with your wardrobe. Like the brown organic ribbons, we used for the layout, adding other colors to the white palette of this inspo makes the whole look livelier and more complex. 

This is completely up to you, but neon colors might be a little bit out of place with the aesthetic we’re going for. You can choose your favorite pastel colors instead! And while you’re at it, why not grab a book you and your kids haven’t opened for a while and read them a fairytale story!

Keep it simple: wildflowers and ribbons

There are basically two things that we have going for this calm inspo: ribbons and wildflowers! You can expect these two elements to always make a comeback in our blog inspos. Besides, we’re trying to create a fairy in the forest type of theme going, so of course we couldn’t sit out wildflowers! We mainly used white flowers with lavender accents. These are perfect crowns for you and your kids.

You can also use the white ribbons on your wildflower crown to make it more fun! This also completes the whole look for your mommy and me event. Ribbons and flower crowns usually go together like peanut butter and jelly. You can get your kids to try designing your crown using the ribbons and vice versa!

Flower crowns are not just for little girls. But if you have a little boy who doesn’t want one, you can design an organic bowtie for him like we did! This keeps the organic look of today’s inspo, plus it’s pretty creative too.

Aside from wildflower crowns, you can also design a hairpiece to tie your hair back. You can also do a side braid, and let the ribbons weave through your hair as well! The possibilities for two elements can be endless. 

But the main thing with this inspo is to take a breather and spend some quality time with your kids. It’s also an added bonus if you have your own backyard, you can sprawl lazily on the grass as you spend a serene mommy-and-me event.
