How to help small and local businesses during the COVID-19 Season

With all the on-going pandemic right now regarding COVID-19, everyone is affected and all our daily lives are temporarily disrupted. In line with this, first and foremost we care for all of you and we’re all hoping that you are with your family, safe, and healthy. Please practice social distancing, wash your hands thoroughly, eat healthy food, and don’t forget to drink your medicines.

As a small business ourselves, we truly understand what’s happening and the impact that this unfortunate situation will have to people. This is the time to get together as a community. While some of us have to adjust with working from home, other small businesses in our communities have no choice but to continue operating, even at minimal to zero profits.

Yes, small businesses are struggling BUT there are alot of ways to help. And you can definitely take part in this.

Here’s how you can help:

Buy and support from small businesses, if possible, online.

Alot of small businesses are still continuing their operations as usual despite the significant decrease in customers . What we can do is search up all the small businesses in the community and as much as possible, buy from them and support their goods. (Tip: some small businesses in retail may have some goods that are out of stock in the big establishments)

It’s  a great idea to support your county at times like this. You’ll be surprised at the amazing products and services of everyone! And oh, if possible, you could further help them by ordering online since it would be safe, fast, and efficient.

Instead of cancelling events, please postpone them.

Since events and weddings are not advisable to be held in the meantime, it would actually help all of the vendors involved in your event if you would postpone it instead of cancelling. Tons of effort go into a single product and rest assured, your event will be perfect and it will happen at the most perfect time. So for now, relax, postpone, and enjoy some time with yourself and your family!

Keep a lookout on their special sales!

Small businesses, despite having a small team and limited resources, are also keen on helping the community. Alot of creators and vendors right now are having sales and special promotions so they can be of help to their customers. And not just that, many are creating fundraisers and donation drives to help aid our other countrymen in these times. We’re loving the camaraderie!

Buy Gift Cards

If you’re looking for other ways to support your local businesses, it’s a smart way to buy gift cards! By buying gift cards, you get so support businesses by giving them cash flow to spend right now. When all of this is over, you also get to spend the gift card and splurge on goods and services from them. This is a win-win situation!

Follow and Give them some love on social media

Social media has power. And although we are practicing social distancing at the moment, social media gives us the platform to socialize and create new friendships! This is also an amazing time to show your local businesses some love. Most small businesses rely on social media to expand their audience for their products to be known by more people. Follow their social media pages, give them some likes, and even write great reviews.

We’re going through tough times but we are all going to get through this together. Let’s all spread positivity and help throughout the whole community. #SupportLocalBusinesses

Stay safe, healthy, and happy!

xoxo
